Dit un dat + making history!!

A week of bit of this and that;

Mon 15.5.06 was a strange day in the office; almost everyone was in. Usually most of us are travelling, in meetings, working from home or god knows where but on Monday we had a full house. It´s always really nice to go to the office as it´s a great bunch of like-minded people. But it is bit far from everything... Here´s the proof:

On Tue we had a strategy sharing session in Berlin. Interesting day and it was good to see people from my years in Nokia from different phases. I also got the most compliments ever as I was wearing my new summer dress, even the airhostess paid me a compliment. It does feel good :)

Wednesday was another day in the office and in the evening Esther and I viewed a flat in Notting Hill. Nice but not THE one yet. Also had dinner in a Thai place, again ok but nothing special.

On Thu 18.5. my dear friend Anne-Marjut came over for business and pleasure. After the meeting we visited a close-by village called Farnham, had a Thai dinner in Richmond and that´s about it. Nice and relaxed. Friday was a day off for both of us. The afternoon was a real girlies shopping afternoon in Kingston. Good therapy! I also finally got the test the food in the pub just outside my house, The Albany. Nice clams but not a perfert culinaristic experience... In the evening we took the train to London and had a couple of drinks with Esther and Meteo. But again had to catch the last train and left early.

Anne-Marjut left home on Saturday and headed again to Notting Hill to see 3 flats. This time the real estate agent was really good (driving in his Porche) and really seemed to understand what we were looking for. All 3 flats were really interesting but we are still thinking what to do.

The evening was truly a historic one; Finland won the European Song contest!!!!!!! We have always, always, always been the last ones and got "Finland null points" over and over again. This time Finland had the two fingers up and sent a bunch of loonies dressed as monster to sing a heavy rock song and they conquered the world!!! It was also nice as my Lee and Steve from downstairs asked me to see it at their place and I brought a bottle of champagne to celebrate if we would get even 1 point. But instead we got almost 300. It was great; text messages coming from Finland, Sweden and Germany. Sauna, Sibelius and Lordi!!! It`s good to be a mad Finn again!!

Sunday 21.5. was a lazy rainy day. Went to see Da Vinci Code with Lee and Steve. Prefer the book. http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/thedavincicode/
